WDAY TV) -- A group trying to redevelop the anti-ballistic missile site at Nekoma is applying for a 600 thousand dollar federal grant to get the property.
The Stanley R. Mickelsen Safeguard Complex, near Langdon, closed in the 1970s. The Cavalier County Job Development Authority wants to use it for unmanned aircraft research, education, and training.
It'd become a historical interpretive center. The legislature is giving the same amount.
