ND anglers urged to remove fish houses now

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — The North Dakota Game and Fish Department is urging winter anglers to get their fish houses off the ice as soon as possible.

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — The North Dakota Game and Fish Department is urging winter anglers to get their fish houses off the ice as soon as possible.

The deadline to remove permanent fish houses from state waters is next Thursday, but officials say warm weather in the forecast over the next week will rapidly erode ice conditions.

Enforcement Division Chief Robert Timian (TIHM'-ee-uhn) says even on lakes where the ice remains solid away from shore, by the end of this weekend getting a vehicle on or off the lake likely will be a challenge.
