Fargo Shanley beats Minot 74-62

FARGO, N.D. (AP) — A.J. Jacobson and Dylan Alderman powered a second-half surge as Fargo Shanley posted a 74-62 quarterfinal victory over Minot at the North Dakota boys Class A basketball tournament Thursday.

Jacobson scored 21 points and Alderman added 18 to lead four Deacons in double figures. The East Region champs, trailing 27-23 at the half, outscored the Magicians 51-35 over the final 18 minutes.

Alderman and Jacbson each grabbed 10 rebounds for Shanley (18-5). Thomas Strandemo finished with 14 points and Patrick Strom had 10 for the Deacons.

Austin Frank had 17 points to lead Minot (13-10). Colter Hustad added 14 for the Magicians.
