Today, we had the right combination of weather factors - one inch of wet snow and a temperature above freezing, and high winds.
It looks like a scene from the world's biggest snowball fight. Take a peak in your back yard tonight and you may see "snow rollers." A winter weather phenomenon we see rarely. Today, we had the right combination of weather factors - one inch of wet snow and a temperature above freezing, and high winds. All that resulted in blowing snow that formed into thousands of small balls that rolled across metro back yards and open spaces.
