Mandan beats West Fargo 67-62 at State A

FARGO, N.D. (AP) — Mandan outscored West Fargo 7-2 in overtime to post a 67-62 win over the Packers in Thursday's opening round at the North Dakota boys Class A basketball tournament.

FARGO, N.D. (AP) — Mandan outscored West Fargo 7-2 in overtime to post a 67-62 win over the Packers in Thursday's opening round at the North Dakota boys Class A basketball tournament.

Devin Coyle led the way for Mandan (18-5), scoring 26 points to send the Braves to the semifinals. Aaron Janz added 12 points and 10 rebounds and Seth Westby 11 points and three assists.

Coyle had six of Mandan's nine 3-pointers. The Braves also outrebounded the Packers 42-25.

Justin Heisler had 22 points for the Packers (12-1), which got 18 points from Andy Young and 11 from Brady Rotert.

West Fargo led 33-30 at the half.
