An extension of Fargo's half-cent infastructure sales tax appears headed to a June vote. After a heated 50 minute debate, commissioners voted four to one in favor of drafting a resolution asking for the extension. Commissioner Dave Piepkorn voted no. Piepkorn and Commissioner Mike Williams are concerned about the ambiguity in what the money would be used for. Mayor Dennis Walaker says it would pay for more infrastructure improvements and additional flood protection efforts.
