Several accidents reported on I-94 near Valley City

Valley City, ND (WDAY TV) - A travel advisory is in effect for parts of our area. Some roads have turned icy and dangerous. At one spot on I-94 near Valley City, there have been a handful of accidents involving about a dozen cars.

Some cars losing control and being hit by other cars in the West bound lane. Some going into the median and rolling. The state patrol says wind gusts, blowing snow and slush on the roadways made conditions hazardous.

The Valley City Police Department says it had 15-20 reports of vehicles going into the ditch or median by 2 this afternoon. There were fifty 9-1-1 calls reporting accidents or cars sliding into ditches.
