Beulah cruises past Central Cass 65-48

Beulah (23-3) dominated from the start, taking a 17-10 lead after one quarter and coasting through the second half on the way to the state semifinals. Central Cass' lowest scoring output of the season had been 60 points.

Cody Nelson had 12 points, and Jesse Hettich 11 points, eight rebounds and five steals for the Miners.

Ellery Bresnahan, Josh Roesler and Ben Sundquist had 12 points apiece for Central Cass, which shot just 29 percent from the field.

Central Cass (25-1) was the only one of three unbeaten teams in the state tournament to lose in the first round. North Star and Berthold, Beulah's semifinal opponent, won their first-round games.
