Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - With the impending snowstorm, tomorrow might be a good idea to stay inside. But the North Dakota Highway Patrol will be out, monitoring road conditions and keeping in contact in with local jurisdictions and plow drivers.

Troopers will help the DOT out of Bismarck decide whether or not to close parts of the I-29 and I-94 and state roads. The amount of snow, wind and accidents all play a factor in that decision making.

They also determine the length of road closures.

SGT. TROY HISCHER - ND Highway Patrol: “If we're gonna make a closures we'll try to do it at a major city, Fargo, Jamestown at those major points, Grand Forks, Bismarck and not in the middle of nowhere where there's no services for people if they are turned off the interstate.”

We'll have much more on road closures tonight at 6.
