Two families are receiving the keys to their very first home tonight thanks to the Lake Agassiz Habitat for Humanity. The Brackins and Melvin families will live in this duplex in West Fargo. This evening Habitat for Humanity held a dedication for their two new homes.

The home is not for free. The families receive an interest free loan and put 250 sweat equity hours into building theirs and others homes.

Tonette Brackins – Home Recipient: “I’ve been wanting to own my own home for so long. To see my kids so excited is a feeling I can't find words for, but I am definitely thankful, very thankful.”

This is the 44th and 45th homes built by Lake Agassiz Habitat for Humanity.
