Moorhead Police make marijuana arrest after traffic stop

According to Moorhead Police Press Release: On Saturday February 25th at approximately 12:30 p.m., a Moorhead Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for disobeying a stop sign located at 4th Avenue and 14th Street South.

According to Moorhead Police Press Release: On Saturday February 25th at approximately 12:30 p.m., a Moorhead Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for disobeying a stop sign located at 4th Avenue and 14th Street South. Upon making contact with the male driver, TOBIAS JAMES MULVIHILL (27 year old from Moorhead), a very strong odor of Marijuana was detected within the vehicle.

Subsequent to a search of the vehicle, Mr. Mulvihill was arrested for Felony level charges of 5th Degree Controlled Substance and the traffic violation of Disobeying a Stop Sign.

Several individual small bags of Marijuana with a total weight of 62.4 grams were seized. Additional items seized were drug paraphernalia items and $565 cash.

Mr. Mulvihill was transported to the Clay County Jail pending the criminal complaint from the Clay County Attorney’s Office.
