MnDOT seeking public input on bike study
ST. PAUL – The Minnesota Department of Transportation has scheduled a series of public meetings to solicit input on an upcoming statewide bicycle planning study.
ST. PAUL – The Minnesota Department of Transportation has scheduled a series of public meetings to solicit input on an upcoming statewide bicycle planning study.
A local meeting will be from 4 to 6 p.m. March 13 at the Detroit Lakes Public Library, 1000 Washington Ave. The meeting will begin with a description of the project and will be followed by a series of group discussions.
Participants will provide input on what is working and what can be improved to make bicycling a safe and usable transportation option in the state, ideas for future bicycling accommodations, barriers to making improvements and more.
Those unable to attend the meeting in person can join a state-wide webinar from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on March 22. Details will be posted at www.dot.state.mn.us/bike/study.html.
