GRAFTON, N.D. (AP) — A Grafton man is facing an attempted murder charge after allegedly charging at officers with a knife after crashing his pickup truck into a tree.

The Grand Forks Herald reports (http://bit.ly/wrErsg) that 57-year-old Rodney Ebertowski also is charged with driving under the influence, reckless endangerment, terrorizing and resisting arrest in the Monday incident.

Ebertowski did not immediately respond to an Associated Press request for comment on Friday.

Ebertowski allegedly rushed officers after crashing his vehicle, holding a knife with a 4-inch blade and asking the officers to shoot him. They eventually subdued him with stun guns.
