The return of winter swamped Minnesota state troopers from yesterday through this morning. They responded to almost 200 crashes around the state. Fourty-four of those were injury related.

Five people died; the four NDSU students and another person just west of Glenwood. Trooper Jesse Grabow was late for his own press conference today, because he pulled over a young lady going 75 miles-per-hour - way too fast for the conditions. He says some people just aren't getting it.

Sgt. Jesse Grabow – MN State Trooper: “You have to be honest with yourself, with your skills, to know what you're capable of, how much experience do you have, how much have you driven in this weather. how often have you driven in this weather can also be a factor.”
