There have been reports of several accidents in the Fargo-Moorhead area already as rush-hour traffic is getting into full swing, but the worst of this storm is expected to hit after sunset. Right now it's mostly slush as snow has been falling steadily in Fargo-Moorhead for the past several hours.

The already slick roads are expected to worsen as temperatures fall below freezing later into the night. Despite city offices being closed this Presidents Day, a full street crew will begin plowing tonight at 7.

Lee Anderson – Fargo Public Works: “This is going to be pretty manageable, you are talking 3-5 inches, where usually in wet warm conditions when you're talking 10-12 inches it's hard to move, but we shouldn't have any of those problems today.”

There is a report just coming in of an accident in between Fergus Falls and Alexandria on Interstate 94. There have been at least four fatalities and it has closed part of the interstate. For the latest weather and road conditions stay tuned to our website, WDAY.com or dial 511.
