DOT uses plow to sweep, clear seeds on I-29
The North Dakota Department of Transportation is using a plow to clear an Interstate 29 ramp, but it's not snow that is being removed.
FARGO, N.D. (AP) — The North Dakota Department of Transportation is using a plow to clear an Interstate 29 ramp, but it's not snow that is being removed.
The plow is clearing the road after a semitrailer carrying bags of sunflower seeds spilled its load.
Traffic along the on-ramp from westbound 12th Avenue North to southbound Interstate 29 was slowed Tuesday afternoon as the plow removed the seeds.
The Forum reports (http://bit.ly/zgk3U4) that the driver of the semitrailer was cited for having a loose or leaking load.
