Thousands of hot cakes served at the annual Kiwanis Pancake Karnival

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- It is a tradition for many of us, the annual Kiwanis Pancake Karnival at the Fargodome.

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- It is a tradition for many of us, the annual Kiwanis Pancake Karnival at the Fargodome.

In it's 54th year, nearly 14 thousand people are expected to get their share of the goodness. Get this, about 48 thousand pancakes will be served.

Lines were endless with anxious people ready to get their hands on those hot cakes. Hundreds of volunteers kept griddles hot for the round treats and sausages.

Govoner Jack Dalrymple says, "they told me I did a good job, but I can see that you know that these guys can do it without trying and I have to work at it so it was a little bit of a difference."

Proceeds go to the group's grant programs. The pancake feed ends at 7.
