Davies' students compete in culinary competition

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Some future Iron Chefs sliced and diced their way to some winning dishes today.

Some future Iron Chefs sliced and diced their way to some winning dishes today. Students from Davies High School took on Minot today in a special Culinary Arts Competition at NDSU. It is part of the state's Career and Technical Education program.

The students got the chance to prepare and cook fennel and pear salad, apple glazed chicken and spice brussel sprouts. The students were evaluated on their preparation and planning as well as the cooking.

Lindsey Agnes – Davies Senior: “Some of it is hard but we have practiced it a little bit but we have our skills down a little bit so we have our skills down so we know what to do, and how long to do it.”

The winning team in today's big cook-off was Fargo Davies. The school even qualified for nationals in Florida.
