NDSU students braved the freezing temperatures to take part in the 86th Little International Livestock Contest. The Saddle and Sirloin Club is putting on this two day event at Shepard Arena.
More than 200 people are taking part, showing off their skills in everything from public speaking on agriculture to ham curing. College students are also showing off horses, cattle and swine. They began caring for these animals about a month ago.
Nick Austin – Little International Livestock Contest: “It gives an opportunity for people on campus maybe who haven't been involved in agriculture and want to know what it's about. Give them a chance to get involved and see what the agriculture industry is all about.”
The contest continues tomorrow and goes on all day.
