Train collides with semi in ND; driver injured

TRENTON, N.D. (AP) — Authorities say a truck driver was injured after a west-bound Amtrak train struck a semi hauling water in northwest North Dakota.

TRENTON, N.D. (AP) — Authorities say a truck driver was injured after a west-bound Amtrak train struck a semi hauling water in northwest North Dakota.

The Williston Herald reports (http://bit.ly/x9xwd7 ) that no one on the train was hurt in the Wednesday morning crash. The North Dakota Highway Patrol says it happened at a rail crossing on state Highway 1804 south of Trenton.

Troopers say 49-year-old Gregory Forseth of Mound, Minn., was taken to an area hospital for undisclosed injuries.

Authorities say another semitrailer hauling water was struck by a BNSF freight train on Tuesday at a crossing northeast of Williston. No injuries were reported.
