Minnesota storm chaser dies in a head-on crash in Oklahoma

Tulsa, OK (WDAY TV) -- A Minnesota storm chaser you have seen on our newscast has died in a head-on crash in Oklahoma.

Tulsa, OK (WDAY TV) -- A Minnesota storm chaser you have seen on our newscast has died in a head-on crash in Oklahoma.

Two people died on Interstate 44 in Tulsa Saturday. One of the victims, Andy Gabrielson. The 25 year old was killed when a wrong way driver slammed into his SUV. The wreck involved four vehicles.

Gabrielson had a lifelong interest in meteorology. His last chase, happened Friday night in Texas, in the heart of a storm cell.

Storm Chaser, Andy Gabrielson, said, "I was seven when I saw my first Tornado. Ever since then, I've enjoyed weather." "Weather is ever changing, my friend. That's why I keep coming back."

Gabrielson was on his way back to Minnesota at the time of that crash.
