Hillsboro man accused of baseball bat assault after argument over poker tournament

Hillsboro, ND (WDAY TV) - A 7th place finish in a poker tournament led to an alleged assault. 49-year old William Mooney of Hillsboro faces an aggravated assault charge.
Police say he attacked 42 year old Dale Czapiewski also of Hillsboro with a steel bat outside the Hillsboro Sports Bar on December 16th. Witnesses say Czapiewski accused Mooney of bragging about finishing 7th in the poker tournament.
The two then decided to fight outside the bar, and after a short scuffle police say Mooney grabbed the bat. Czapiewski was not seriously injured.
