Updated: Fatal Accident Overnight Near Fisher

Fisher, Minn. (WDAY TV) - State Patrol troopers say alcohol was a factor in an head on crash that claimed the life of a Crookston woman.

Fisher, Minn. (WDAY TV) - State Patrol troopers say alcohol was a factor in an head on crash that claimed the life of a Crookston woman.

39-year-old Darcey Jablonski died after colliding with a pick-up that was stopped and facing the wrong way in the east-bound lanes of Highway 2 near Fisher. The accident happened around 2-15 this morning.

21-year-old Daniel Johnson was parked in the pick-up. He received non-life threatening injuries. The patrol believes Johnson had been drinking.

Trooper David Eischens - Minnesota State Patrol: “He was in the main part of the roadway, and no it doesn't happen very often but with the fog it contributed to the visibility issues.”

Weather conditions at the time were foggy with very limited visibility. The accident is still under investigation.
