The US Army Corps of Engineers is touring North Dakota, keeping up-to-date on flooding concerns and the proposed F-M diversion.

The commissioner in charge of our region, Major General John Peabody, stopped by the Red River Valley before heading out to a committee meeting in Bismarck about Devil's Lake. Peabody says people should know the Corps is still focused on flood concerns. He says local leaders have put together a good plan for the diversion.

Major General John Peabody – Army Corps of Engineers: "Inevitably there are people who are going to be negatively impacted by this plan. We are working along with local communities to try and bring some more value out of it. "

Peabody says the plan's on its way to government officials.
