Registered predatory offender in custody after allegedly assaulting probation officer

Detroit Lakes, Minn. (WDAY TV) - A registered predatory offender is back behind bars after allegedly assaulting his probation officer.
21 year old Jonathon Wieland, from Detroit Lakes is in custody waiting an omnibus hearing on February 21st. On January 18th, police say Wieland grabbed his female probation officer and pinned her against a wall in his apartment.
She escaped and called police. The officer told police she feared for her life, and thought Wieland would try to sexually assault her.
He was on probation after being convicted in 2008 of criminal sexual conduct.
