Ski race course is moving due to lack of snow in Minnesota

Minneapolis, MN (WDAY TV) -- The lack of snow is solely causing a change to a popular race in Minnesota, next weekend. The course is literally moving.

The City Of Lakes Loppet Ski Race will be contained to Theodore Wirth Park. It usually winds its way to uptown Minneapolis. The change is a letdown for businesses that rely on race crowds to make profit in winter. Dunn Brothers had brewed a plan, doubling staff.

Jeff Rolfzen with Dunn Brothers Coffee says, "it was going to end right next to us, we were expecting that to be a huge rush of business so we had all these plans for kind of upping the ante around here, making sure that we had like 3 or 4 people ready to go."
