Hope area native is back after being injured in Afghanistan

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- A welcomed homecoming. A Hope area native is back after being seriously injured in Afghanistan.

Specialist Eric Mewes (muse) arrived at Hector International in Fargo around 7 tonight. Friends, family, and supporters greeted him home.

The NDSU graduate is in a wheelchair after a bomb blast last fall seriously injured his lower body. Mewes has spent the past few months recovering in Texas.
