Jim Roers is running to represent District 46. The longtime Fargo man is founder of Roers' Development and serves on two NDSU groups. He cites his experience in real estate, construction, and ag as reasons to run.

That district is mostly south of I-94 and east of 25th Street. The seat had been held by Republican Tom Fischer until he died.
