The Dragon men's basketball team has dominated the headlines this winter at Nemzek Hall, but over the past four years Hawley product Angie Jetvig has quietly excelled to the point where she's being considered one of the best in program history.

Karla Nelson – MSUM Head Coach: “She's really developed into becoming one of the best players in MSUM history. She's everything and more, when I look at her, I'm really proud the player that came in, the player she is today.

Angie Jetvig – MSUM All-American Forward: “Always wanted to improve each year I've played, don't want to stay the same I want to do as well as I could for the team.”

The team has struggled this year at times, but not Jetvig, averaging nearly 18 points a game, and being named Conference Player of the Week multiple times.

Karla Nelson: “This past weekend she played like an All-American. You could see a different person emerge. I can only hope over the last 9 games, that's the person I get to see.”

Jetvig's play earned All-American status last year. With another Hawley product on the way in Jessy Noreen, Jetvig believes the pipeline has been laid for years to come.

Angie Jetvig: “When I came, Katie Walden was here, I was able to talk to another Hawley athlete, it's really good connection. They get a really good idea of what they're getting themselves into.”

Jetvig has already moved into the top 5 of all-time Dragon scorers.
