Davies High School students start anti-drug program

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Three upperclassmen at Davies High School are trying to make a difference with other students in Fargo.

Three upperclassmen at Davies High School are trying to make a difference with other students in Fargo. The students from Davies' DECA club have started a public awareness campaign. They're going out to schools this week with their "Drop the Drugs" program.

One of the exercises today is having students write letters to themselves promising they'll make good decision. The campaign is based on 3-things: Help, hope, and self-belief.

Courtney Jacobson – Davies Senior: “We're just going to try and accomplish these kids stay away from drugs and alcohol. that they'll stick to the promise they are making today.”

The students have designed an on-line resource at http://www.DroptheDrugs.com. They're also working on getting an app for smartphones.
