Rothsay, MN (WDAY TV) -- The wicked weather forced a problem part of icy interstate to suddenly shut down, stranding drivers in the storm.
Authorities closed I-94, near Rothsay after a series of crashes and vehicles in the ditch over a span of two hours. A line of vehicles was left waiting in westbound lanes. Hundreds of people sat on interstate for half an hour until the roadway, coated in ice, re-opened.
