ND gets more fed money for flood victim counseling

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — The North Dakota Department of Human Services is getting $2.5 million in federal money to continue providing counseling for flood victims in the Minot, Bismarck and Devils Lake areas.

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — The North Dakota Department of Human Services is getting $2.5 million in federal money to continue providing counseling for flood victims in the Minot, Bismarck and Devils Lake areas.

The money is through the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration and the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Human Services last July received an initial $817,000 grant.

The agency contracts with Lutheran Disaster Response for the services, which will be available in the counties of Barnes, Benson, Burleigh, McHenry, Morton, Ramsey, Renville, Richland and Ward.
