BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — The Lincoln police chief has testified in a Burleigh County trial that murder suspect John Unruh told him a prostitute stabbed Randall Albaugh to death in April.
But Marcel Sim says Albaugh's last words blamed Unruh instead.
Sim testified Thursday, the third day of Unruh's felony murder trial in Albaugh's death. Sim was a patrol officer at the time of Albaugh's death. The now-chief says Albaugh managed to utter dying words implicating Unruh in his stabbing.
Sim says Unruh denied the allegation, saying the unnamed prostitute was the culprit. Sim says Unruhh and Albaugh had hired the woman.
Unruh allegedly refused to cooperate with Sim, prompting Sim to zap him with a stun gun.
The Bismarck Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/Agne81) that the trial is expected to last at least another week.
