City of Fargo holds Martin Luther King, Jr. Event

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - The City of Fargo is honoring members of its own community who have made significant contributions in the area of Human Relations.

The City of Fargo is honoring members of its own community who have made significant contributions in the area of Human Relations. The Fargo Theatre and WDAY-970's Christopher Gabriel hosted the city's 12th annual Martin Luther King Junior Event. The event featured performances by the Oak Grove Concert Choir and artwork from local elementary students. Award recipients included Howard Barlow, Abby Roche, Kayla Smith and Handi Wheels Incorporated.

David Lanpher – MLK Planning Committee: “We have 10% diversity in our community, we have to deal with more issues as we confront different cultures and religions and I think we are working on that to become a better more tolerant community.”

Monetary Donations were also given to the FM Community Bicycle Workshop.
