SUPERIOR, Wis. (AP) — The brother of a man shot dead in Superior said he suspects drug activities were involved.
Antron Cooper, of Minneapolis, said his brother Toriano Dawen Cooper had a drug problem for much of his life.
Superior police say they got a call about 10 a.m. Sunday that a 35-year-old man had been shot while he was doing cleaning or maintenance work on a vehicle.
Toriano Cooper's fiance, Kristina Lampi, is five months pregnant. She tells the Duluth News Tribune (http://bit.ly/wSDpdl ) that it's too early to know whether drugs were involved. She says he had been sober for 22 days and was doing well.
Police said they have no information on a suspect.
Toriano Cooper has a lengthy criminal record in Minnesota and Wisconsin, including assault convictions, car theft and robbery.
