North Dakota military academy appointees nominated

Congressman Rick Berg has nominated seven North Dakotans for appointments to the nation’s military academies. A reception helped celebrate these future soldiers’ nominations. To be considered for admission to the armed service academies, all potential students must be nominated by either a member of Congress or the Vice President. One candidate selected we spoke to is Brian Anderson from Harvey. He will be going to the U.S Naval Academy after his senior year of high school this year, and says he has always wanted to be a fighter pilot.

Brian Anderson – Harvey: “When I was four I watched top gun, and ever since then I’ve always wanted to do, so that has always been to me a stepping stone to living that dream and getting in is one of the most wonderful things in my mind that could possibly happen.”

Berg says he will continue to mentor these young men through their entire academy training.
