Former Minot insurance agent sentenced for fraud

MINOT, N.D. (AP) — A former Minot insurance agent has been sentenced to prison and nearly $1.2 million in restitution for wire fraud.

MINOT, N.D. (AP) — A former Minot insurance agent has been sentenced to prison and nearly $1.2 million in restitution for wire fraud.

Fifty-eight-year-old Alan Henning pleaded guilty last August. U.S. Attorney Timothy Purdon says Henning was sentenced this week to four years and three months in federal prison, to be followed by five years of supervised release.

State Insurance Commissioner Adam Hamm late last year revoked Henning's license to do business.
