Veterans have an opportunity to get free home repairs

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- Veterans in Cass and Clay Counties have an opportunity to get home repairs for free.

Officials from Rebuilding Together say they got a 40 thousand dollar grant.

The non-profit is taking applications to help at least 20 to 30 low-income homeowners. Rebuilding Together will help with projects like roof repairs, plumbing problems, and grab bars to make homes handicap accessible.

Russ Richards with Rebuilding Together says," a lot of different blocks you will see homes that looks like it could use a new roof, or has broken windows, or the paint is falling all off. And they are making those decisions like do I pay my heat bill or do I buy some paint?"
