Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) -- One Concordia Political Science Class got a lesson directly from a US Senator.

Minnesota Senator Al Franken spent the morning on the Concordia Campus and stopped in to the intro to Poly-Sci class to answer questions about politics and how the US Senate works. Franken told them to not let the partisan bickering they see on the news keep them from being involved in politics.

Senator Al Franken says, “There are common sense practical solving problem things that you can do across party lines. I enjoy the work I'm doing; I enjoy my colleagues on both sides.”

The Senator also met with the administration at Concordia to talk about issues in higher education that will be coming up this year.
