Jamestown enacting its quiet zones at 4 crossings is questioned

Jamestown, ND (WDAY TV) -- People living in Jamestown will not hear train sirens in the city anymore after midnight.

Jamestown, ND (WDAY TV) -- People living in Jamestown will not hear train sirens in the city anymore after midnight.

The city enacted its quiet zone last month at four crossings. But enforcement at third street southeast was delayed while BNSF questioned safety at the crossing.

The Federal Railroad Administration says there is no reason for sirens to sound and BNSF says it will comply starting at midnight.
