Moorhead, Minn. (WDAY TV) - Clay County commissioners are taking a look at the progress of the County's detox program. Public Health Administrator Kathy McKay met with the commissioners to see check on progress from 2010.

They meet annually for a general review and to look at statistics. Since 2010, the number of clients have increased, and most of them are men.

About 2-years ago, the program went from having 16 beds down to ten. Since the switch, the program was at full capacity just 16-times. Mckay says the license for adding additional beds is up for renewal.

KATHY MCKAY - Public Health Administrator: “Commissioners like to see is just continued ongoing analysis of the utilization, bed utilization, our staffing, and then how we can look at things in the future, keeping track of our trends, and then we will make that decision down the road.”

Additional beds would cost more money because of staffing.
