(WDAY Sports) - Tonight's Minnesota Wild game comes with a milestone for Moorhead's Matt Cullen. He'll skate onto the rink for the 1,000th game of his NHL career.

He enters the night with 191 goals and 332 assists in the midst of his 14th season. Meanwhile, the Wild really need a win tonight against San Jose.

The team has lost 11 of it's last 12, and slipped from first to 8th in the Western Conference.

“It's not because guys don't want to do it. It's not because we don't have character. It's not because of anything other than the fact that we're just putting a lot of pressure on ourselves to get out of this. We have to get our game going and the wins will follow. If we wait for the wins to get our game going then we're going to be waiting a long time.”

Here's the elite company that Cullen will be joining, only 6 others from the State of Hockey have reached 1,000 career NHL games. On top of the list is St. Paul's Phil Housley, who spent 22 seasons in the league, and retired 5 short of 1500. Jamie Langenbrunner is the only active player on the list.
