Fargo, ND (WDAY Sports) - NDSU built itself into a powerhouse in the mid 80's by getting the best players around. The Bison are hoping this championship will start another run.

It may just do that, NDSU loses 9 starters off this title team, but the majority of the squad returns, as Brock Jensen and Marcus Williams are just juniors next year, hoping another trip to Frisco isn't far off.

CHRISTIAN DUDZIK - NDSU Redshirt Freshman CB: “I saw Travis Beck. I made the block for him. These are young guys making plays out there. We are going to work next year and try to come back here next year and every year after that.”

CRAIG BOHL - 75-31 Career Record: “I think you look at everything within your program and your striving for excellence and how you're doing in the classroom and the kind of things you're doing in the offseason. What's the team chemistry like. Our challenge now is to keep the momentum going, but we're going to step back and enjoy this victory for some time.”

While the team is hoping another title trip happens next year, the Missouri Valley believes this Bison win can help everybody. This was the first national championship for the conference since 2002 and the commissioner told me the Valley is ready to take advantage of being on top.

“I think we have an opportunity, given the high profile that we've enjoyed with this NDSU run, to translate into some media opportunities next year. That's my biggest hope, to use this as springboard to get kind of coverage we want with our ESPN3

contract, know that causes some real problems in North Dakota and know have some leverage to have ESPN help us.”
