(WDAY TV) - Residents in Church's Ferry North Dakota will be headed to the voting booths today to decide whether to dissolve their flood-threatened city. About a dozen people live in the community twenty miles west of Devils Lake.

The city isn't under water, but is being threatened by the growing Devils Lake. If voters approve the dissolution, it would begin a process to end the town's incorporation as a North Dakota city, which could take several weeks or months.

Churchs Ferry was setteled in 1886, incorporated as a village in 1897 and as a city in 1967. It peak population was 457 in 1910.
