Moorhead, Minn. (WDAY TV) - The owner of Discontent in Moorhead is turning in petitions to overturn the city's controversial ban on the sale of drug paraphernalia.
The city clerk says Tom Tepley handed in 26-hundred petitions today, with the promise of more on Monday. Tepley's petition asks the city council to overturn the ban, or put it to a city-wide vote.
The ban makes possessing or selling items deemed drug paraphernalia a msidemeanor, punishable by up to a year in jail and a 1-thousand dollar fine.
