Moorhead man sentenced to prison for robberies

FARGO, N.D. (AP) — A Moorhead, Minn., man who pleaded guilty to three armed robberies at Fargo stores earlier this year has been ordered to spend 2½ years in prison for the crimes.

FARGO, N.D. (AP) — A Moorhead, Minn., man who pleaded guilty to three armed robberies at Fargo stores earlier this year has been ordered to spend 2½ years in prison for the crimes.

The Forum reports (http://bit.ly/xbkcVf) that Judge Steven McCullough sentenced 19-year-old Raheem Kemokai on Monday to three 30-month prison terms, to run concurrently.

Kemokai received credit for roughly nine months he has spent in the Cass County Jail since his arrest in March.

Kemokai also must serve two years of supervised probation, pay $922 in restitution and undergo a chemical dependency evaluation.

He pleaded guilty in August to two counts of conspiring to commit robbery and one count of robbery for armed holdups in February and March.

Three other men also pleaded guilty to the robberies and were sentenced to prison.
