Two abandoned mobile homes lost in Davenport fire

Two mobile homes are a total loss tonight after a fire in Davenport, North Dakota. Firefighters were called just before 8 tonight. A crew including the town’s fire chief was gutting two trailers. They were unused and empty on a man's property. They noticed a glow in one of the trailers, and within minutes it was fully engulfed and spread to the trailer next to it. No one was injured.

Wayne Flom – Davenport Fire Chief: “Could've been taking out, we were sweating copper fittings and using sawzalls. Could've been smoldering for a while.”

The chief says the good news is that the trailers weren't worth much and were pretty well gutted before the fire started.
