Grand Forks police were busy New Year's Eve, but not with DUI's

Grand Forks, ND (WDAY TV) -- It appears party gores followed good advice of not drinking and driving New Year’s Eve.

Grand Forks, ND (WDAY TV) -- It appears party gores followed good advice of not drinking and driving New Year’s Eve.

Grand Forks police were busy, responding to loud parties and domestic calls but they only made one DUI arrest. The average for that night is four.

Sgt. Douglas Wright with the Grand Forks Police Dept. says, “I think people are more responsible this time of year. Designated drivers and now we have abundant of taxis around town. So designated drivers, taxis staying at home.”

Moorhead didn't have many problems, either.
