Sam Houston State's road to the FCS Championship game is eerily similar to NDSU's. The Bearkats missed out on the playoffs last year with a 6-5 record. Sam Houston graduated just five players from that team and now has won 16 straight games. For the Bearkat players they told me that the belief of getting to the championship started last season.
