Sanford Health releases top baby names of 2011

Sanford Health has put out its top baby names list of 2011. The top 5 boy’s names are Owen, Jack, Jackson, Mason, and Brayden. The top five girl’s names are Harper, Isabella, Lauren, Sophia, and Emma. We spoke to a mom who says naming her 3rd boy was harder than the first two. A nurse at Sanford who has worked there for more than 30 years says she has seen all the baby naming trends there are.

Kristie Langness – Sanford Nurse for Over 30 Years: “Celebrity choices have made a difference, sometimes people will follow that trend, but many times you still see people using names for a specific reason like a grandparent or a parent or something so they want to honor that person.”

Sanford gets its list from its website where they post all of the baby’s pictures, and names.
